Elephone have just dropped another smartphone sales promotion on the Chinese tech world where fans reserving and sharing their reservation contribute towards a final lower price tag.

Anyone with a basic knowledge of business knows that the more you order the bigger the savings can be. The same is true for the smartphone market where the cost of producing only 100 phones would be much greater than producing 100,000 (based on a per unit cost). Normally, though the end-user wouldn’t see that saving, but these are not normal times.

Elephone’s latest scheme is to have customers reserve the upcoming Elephone Trunk phone. The Trunk normally retails at $119.99, but with guaranteed order of 300,000 phones that cost can be reduced to only $89.99 for the end user. To further entice you to take part, Elephone are also offering free Elephone Trunk phones to lucky people.

Ulefone Paris to Highlight a Philosophy of 'Extreme Balance'

Ulefone Paris, the 5-inch device, has been put on the Ulefone official site with the slogan of “Extreme Balance”, which indicates that the company has developed a philosophy about phone making.

Ulefone believes the size of 5-inch best balances between the eyes, which favor a big display, and the hands, which favor small for comfortable handle. To spread their philosophy, the company even made a video where Ulefone Paris was placed at the balance point of a scale among bigger and smaller phones. Indeed, 5-inch phones will be easier to handle than 5.5 or bigger ones and still represent a big market where users weigh one-hand operability over visual joy.

Ulefone also used the balance philosophy to explain why the Paris packs middle-class components like 720P display, MTK6753 chipset, and 2GB RAM instead of high-rank ones. According to them, the MTK6753 have eight A53 processing cores to reach a combined capacity of only 1.3Ghz thus it can work at ease and work longer.

That might have been a marketing trick, but a phone of middle-class specs are truly a easier job for the Ulefone designing and engineering teams to do well. We know that high-resolution display requires stronger chipsets and bigger RAM, and they together call for a larger battery which may lead to a thick body; if a phone maker don’t want to make a thick phone, he has to squeeze some space inside, but that may cause overheating and other problems.

The return to medium specs somewhat gives us hope that Ulefone might have finally given priority to user experiences so as to make a handy phone within their ability. Ulefone says since early August, all their employees have been asked to take Ulefone Paris for daily use and give feedback to the engineering department. And it’s a good news that the company has given up the Sony camera sensor, which is very hard to adjust, even for Sony itself.

About the touch buttons under the display, Ulefone consider them as a balance between convention and innovation. They look indeed different from conventional keys but function just the same. Anyway, a change in habits will be very torturing to users, and it’s good that Ulefone didn’t do that.

Besides the stock launcher on Android 5.1, Ulefone Paris will have an optional one preinstalled, which is said to be more friendly to users.

How To Update ASUS Fonepad 7 K012 (FE170CG) Guide Solution

Hey Guys,
Today i'm gonna show you how to solve SD update problem for ASUS K012,
I was suffering from that problem for a while and tried almost EVERYTHING,
The problem is that SD Update always FAIL,
#let's begin,
First of all you have to identify what FW ver you have,
1. Start the TAB in Droidboot by pressing and HOLDING Volume UP and Power button until the menu appears
2. Now you can see what FW Installed on your TAB

3. Now go to ASUS Support Site and Download the same FW as your TAB,

4. After Downloading FW, Extract it and Copy .zip File to SD Card and rename it to k012_sdupdate.zip,
5. Now put back SD Card into TAB and Reboot into DroidBoot Mode,
6. Now Here is the Trick, You have to Plug the Charger in the TAB while Updating from SD So, Plug the Charger now then choose SD Update,
7. Wait until Update process finish then reboot your TAB,

>>DONE<<

#In case that guide didn't help you solve your problem try this one,

1. Extract this files from the FW zip file and copy them to fastboot folder,

1.fastboot.img
boot.img
splashscreen.img

2. Start your TAB in DroidBoot mode and via Fastboot excute this commands one by one,

fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase system
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot flash fastboot fastboot.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash splashscreen splashscreen.img

3. Now Copy the same .zip File that you've extracted 3 .img files from to SD Card and rename it to k012_sdupdate.zip and Copy it again to the same SD Card but this time rename it to ASUS_BUNDLE.zip,
4. Put back SD Card into TAB and Reboot into DroidBoot then Plug Charger and Select SD Update,

7. Unzip Odin3_v3.10.6.zip and open Odin3 v3.10.6.exe.

8. With your phone still plugged into your computer. You should see a blue box on the left side of Odin that reads something similar to “0:[COM15]”. If you don’t then download and install the Samsung USB drivers and unplug and plug your phone back in.

9. Now click on AP and locate and select the TWRP Recovery TAR file you downloaded in step 6.

10. Click on “Start” and the process will begin. This will only take a few minutes.

11. You will now see “PASS!” on Odin. IMMEDIATELY AFTER press and hold the volume up, homebutton, and power button all at the same time.

12. You will now be entered into TWRP Recovery.

13. Select “Install” > find and select “UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip” > swipe your finger to install the SuperSU zip file.

14. Now select “Reboot System”. If TWRP Recovery asks you to disable overwriting, allow it. You are now rooted with TWRP custom recovery installed on your Galaxy S6/S6 Edge!

15. You will see an app called SuperSU in your app drawer. Open it and if it asks you to update binary, allow it. You can confirm that your Galaxy S6/S6 Edge is rooted by using an app like Root Checker.
